By accessing or using FishLeague ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

You must:

• Be at least 13 years old
• Have parental consent if under 18
• Comply with all applicable laws

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining account security
• All activity under your account
• Providing accurate information

You are solely responsible for:

• Holding valid fishing licenses where required
• Following local regulations, limits, and restrictions

FishLeague does not verify licenses and is not responsible for compliance.

Fishing involves inherent risks. You agree:

• You participate at your own risk
• FishLeague is not liable for injury, loss, or damages

Requirements

• Fish must be fully visible
• Measurement must be clear
• Mouth closed
• Tail pinched (if applicable)
• Use official FishLeague measuring system when required

Submission Must Include

• Clear photo and/or video
• Accurate measurement
• No editing or manipulation

Violations May Result In

• Rejected submissions
• Tournament disqualification
• Account suspension or termination

You may not:

• Submit altered or AI-generated images
• Submit catches that are not your own
• Misrepresent size or species
• Exploit the system

FishLeague may:

• Review and remove submissions
• Disqualify participants
• Suspend or ban accounts

All decisions regarding:

• Catch validation
• Tournament outcomes
• Rule enforcement

are final and not subject to appeal.

FishLeague may offer:

• Cash prizes (where permitted)
• Merchandise or sponsor rewards

You are responsible for:

• Taxes
• Legal eligibility

FishLeague may modify or cancel prizes at any time.

All tournaments are intended to be games of skill, not chance. Outcomes are based on user performance.

Paid tournaments may not be available in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring participation is legal in your location.

Where required by law, FishLeague may provide a free method of entry for certain tournaments.

FishLeague may require identity verification prior to awarding prizes.

We reserve the right to:

• Monitor activity for fraud
• Suspend accounts pending investigation
• Withhold prizes if violations are detected

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting content, you grant FishLeague a:

• Worldwide
• Non-exclusive
• Royalty-free license

to use, display, and promote your content.

You agree to:

• Respect other users
• Avoid harassment or abuse
• Contribute positively

Violations may result in removal.

FishLeague may:

• Suspend or terminate accounts
• Remove content
• Restrict access

You agree to indemnify and hold FishLeague harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violations of these Terms or laws
• Your content or conduct

All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, not in court.

• Governed by applicable arbitration rules
• Conducted in North Carolina (unless required otherwise)
• Single arbitrator
• Small claims court exceptions apply where eligible

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

FishLeague is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or goodwill

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

User-Provided

• Name, username, email
• Profile data
• Photos/videos of catches

Automatically Collected

• Device and browser info
• IP address
• Usage data

Location Data

• GPS data at time of submission
• Approximate location via IP

We use data to:

• Operate the Platform
• Validate catches
• Run tournaments and rankings
• Improve user experience
• Detect fraud

We may share:

• With service providers
• With sponsors (as needed)
• Aggregated/anonymized data
• When required by law

We do not sell personal data without consent.

We retain data:

• While your account is active
• As required for legal or operational purposes

You may request to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccuracies
• Delete your data

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent.

FishLeague integrates with the following third-party services to provide our features. Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data:

• Stripe — Payment processing for tournament entry fees. Stripe collects payment card information directly; FishLeague does not store card numbers. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini AI — Used for fish length estimation from photos, AI-generated fishing tips (Fin-Sight), photo quality checks, tournament recaps, and morning briefing tips. Catch photos and location data may be sent to Google for analysis. Gemini API Terms
• iNaturalist Vision API — Used for AI species identification from catch photos. Photos are sent to iNaturalist for computer vision analysis. iNaturalist Privacy Policy
• Open-Meteo — Weather data for fishing intelligence and condition snapshots. Your approximate location (latitude/longitude) is sent to retrieve forecasts. Open-Meteo Terms
• NOAA Tides & Currents — Tide predictions for coastal fishing locations. No personal data is shared. NOAA Privacy Policy
• Expo Push Notifications — Delivery of push notifications to your device. Your device push token is shared with Expo. Expo Privacy Policy
• Giphy — GIF search in tournament feed and messages. Search queries are sent to Giphy. Giphy Privacy Policy
• Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting. Device info and error context may be collected. Sentry Privacy Policy
• Amazon Web Services (S3, CloudFront) — Photo storage and content delivery. Catch photos are stored on AWS servers in the US. AWS Privacy Policy
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, Overpass) — Location labeling and fishing spot discovery. Your coordinates are sent for reverse geocoding. OSM Privacy Policy

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this policy. Continued use means acceptance.
